On October 16th, 2008, WebSphere experts Tom Alcott, Ajay Apte, Tim deBoer, Jim Knutson, Bill O'Donnell, Kevin Sutter, and Greg Truty moderated an online chat about WebSphere Application Server V7. This new version of WebSphere Application Server builds upon the powerful and stable core of previous releases with several new features and enhancements. In addition to support for the latest standards and programming models, V7 contains key improvements in the areas of systems management, installation, and security. Tim deBoer is the Release Architect for Rational Application Developer. He is also a PMC member and project lead on the Eclipse Web Tools Platform and works out of the IBM Toronto Lab, Canada.
