The goal of this article is to recommend a collaborative technical strategy for the use and re-use of business policies and business rules in business applications today. Since business strategies, tactics and industry regulations frequently change, a focus of this section is assessing what is the value to the business in enabling business agility, and how agility can be incorporated as a pillar of overall governance. To accomplish this goal details in part 2 are used to substantiate the assertions made in part 1. Readers may find it useful to read either or both parts of the article, consider it practice in thinking agile.
