 | Level: Advanced Contributors: IBM, University of Georgia 16 Dec 2005 The Web Services Semantics - WSDL-S specification is a W3C Member Submission that defines how to add semantic information to WSDL documents. Semantic annotations define the meaning of the inputs, outputs, preconditions and effects of the operations described in a service interface. These annotations reference concepts in an ontology. Semantic annotations are used to automate service discovery, composition, mediation, and monitoring.
