Do you have talented students who have taken classes, labs, and seminars or have completed projects or internships on IBM and open source technologies? If so, you can help increase their chances of finding a job by providing them access to post resumes on our Student Opportunity System database.
Students are who want access to submit their resumes must have one of the following accomplishments or experience:
- Completion of an IBM Professional Certification
- Passing an IBM Mastery Test (for example, IBM System z Entry level for z/OS System Programmer Mastery Test or IBM Information Management pureXML Technical Mastery Test)
- Completing a college or university course using IBM or open technologies
- Participating in a contest using an IBM technology (for example, IBM Master the Mainframe contest)
- Using an IBM technology during an internship
Do you have an IBM Academic Initiative membership?
You will need an Academic Initiative membership to give your students access to the Student Opportunity System database. If you aren't a member, you can join now.
Give your students access
Complete the short form and we will provide your students with access to the Student Opportunity System database.
After students receive our email invitation, they can get their own IBM IDs and then post their resumes to showcase their talents.

- Click the Request access for your students link on this page.
- Sign in with your IBM ID and password.
This is the same ID and password that you use for your Academic Initiative membership. - Enter an e-mail address for each student in the Student e-mail address field.
To provide access for multiple students, separate their e-mail addresses with a comma or a new line. - Click Submit.
Each student will receive a note, sent to the e-mail address that you provided, containing a link and key to access the Student Opportunity System database.
