COMMON User Group (North America)
The COMMON User Group has formed the COMMON Education Foundation to foster the education and growth of IT professionals. as a means to reach this goal, the Foundation offers many benefits.
- COMMON Power Systems User Group
- Free scholastic memberships to faculty
- Scholarships for registration at North American conferences (Word doc 225KB)
- COMMOM tuition reimbursement for qualified students (48KB)
In addition, we have many COMMON members who will sponsor students and pay their registration fee for them. There are a limited number of sponsorships available on a first come, first served basis and the student must be enrolled in a CIS/IT program. Email us and provide the student contact information.
US Regional user groups
- OCEAN User GroupThe Orange County Educational Advancement Network, Inc., a non-profit user group in the western United States, is one of the largest and most pro-active IBM System i Midrange user groups with almost 500 members.
- OMNIChicago's largest and oldest association of computer users, they specialize in the IBM midrange platform and hold a monthly dinner meeting to share educational and practical experiences.
