AIX is a UNIX operating system based on open standards that delivers high levels of security, integration, flexibility and reliability. All of these components are essential for meeting the demands of today's information technology environments.

We have a wide array of resources to help you learn and teach AIX, including no-charge training and professionally developed courseware that you can use in the classroom. But, the best news is that we offer Academic Initiative members remote virtual access to the Power Systems environment (so that you don't have to install and maintain the systems) or significant discounts if do you choose to lease or buy.
