1. Before you begin: Review Jazz basics
Before you begin working through your hands-on knowledge path, it is important that you have some understanding of the IBM® Rational® Jazz Initiative and its core principles. Take a moment to review these basics on the Jazz.net website.
2. Get familiar with Rational Team Concert
The Rational Jazz portfolio consists of a common platform and a set of tools that all of the members of the extended development team can use to collaborate more easily. This reflects our central insight that the center of software development is neither the individual nor the process, but the collaboration of the team. Our flagship Jazz technology-based offering, IBM® Rational Team Concert™, is the focus of this training. With Rational Team Concert, teams can work together from different locations to collaborate and deliver coding projects.
3. Install the server (unnecessary for the sandbox)

There are two Rational Team Concert clients available for download: one based on Eclipse and one based on Microsoft Visual Studio. Watch these videos to understand how to use the client that you prefer for development and deployment in a Rational Team Concert environment.
