1. Meet Node.js
Understand from a Java developer perspective what Node.js is (and isn't), how it works, and what its benefits are. Then see what developing a web application using Node looks like.
2. Download
Download Node.js for your platform along with npm, a package manager for Node. For UNIX (including Mac OS X) and Linux platforms, you'll also want nvm (Node Version Manager, a simple bash script for managing multiple active Node.js versions).
3. Build, test, deploy
Use Node.js and supporting frameworks to get a working application up and running in the cloud. Follow along with Andrew Glover as he shows you all the steps.
4. Review
Test your Node.js knowledge and skills.
