The IBM Product and Service Framework is the software technology framework for IBM selected business solutions including electronics, automotive, aerospace, and defense. It is the basis for solutions in industry project areas such as business planning and transformation, product and systems development, design chain collaboration, digital product asset management, manufacturing and operations productivity, health, safety and environment, and aftermarket and support. The framework consists of industry extensions built on service-oriented architecture (SOA), which provides an open standards-based platform for integrating multiple applications.
