UML ot not UML, that is the question!

Should we use modeling? Is the game worth the trouble?
This question has caused a lot of ink to flow. This article shows the value of modeling in general, and UML strengths in particular. It also confesses that UML is not the Holy Grail: sometimes, it does too much, but it is often not sufficient... Do not hesitate to tweak it and complement it with domain languages that will cover your specific needs.
