Build on the strength of the hybrid relational/XML DB2 engine, DB2 Express-C provides a foundation for leading edge Web 2.0 and Cloud Computing applications for small and medium business and large enterprises with many distributed locations. DB2 Express-C is available free of charge but also provides a low cost option for support and extra capability. Applications build with DB2 Express-C can be deployed on other editions of DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows with no change to the application code.
