Summary

Rational Team Concert is a very powerful, flexible and configurable software collaboration platform for small and big enterprises. With so much being said and demonstrated in this tutorial, there is still a lot more to explore.

The tutorial began with a short introduction to Rational Team Concert and moved on to create the project area and team area and import the GWT's sample application XMLOrderMangement into the Jazz source control. You then created and ran the sample application from the Rational Team Concert, created and assigned the work items to the team members and finally looked into the process customization and project health.

Then you explored the possibilities of the user management with LDAP registry, using the Team Advisor to quickly solve a problem, customizing the process according to the team needs and looking into several of the available Jazz reports to know and access the project's health. Jazz Build System is a very powerful build engine that helps all the projects to have continuous private and public builds.

This tutorial has demonstrated how easy it is to collaborate with team members and how much fun it is to develop software with Rational Team Concert. You can start to play with Rational Team Concert by importing a simple project and then extending it further.
