Letter from the editor

Yes, the cover is correct -- it's the summer issue of The Rational Edge. Not the belated June issue, nor the on-time July issue. With the change of the season, we're announcing a change in our publication schedule: The Rational Edge is now a quarterly publication.

We're still dedicated to bringing you the latest ideas in practice leadership from the IBM Rational team. This issue spotlights our latest technology (IBM Rational Team Concert) as well as new approaches to development methods via IBM Rational Method Composer. We also consider asset reuse, collaboration, testing, OpenUP, and more. Just in case you missed it in early June, we're including the article on Self-Check for Software Teams, the first offering in the newly announced Measured Capability Improvement Framework (MCIF).

Find these new articles by clicking on the "Contents" tab above, and don't forget our archives in the navigation bar at far left.

Happy iterations,
Mike Perrow
Editor-in-Chief
