Description: The RUP™ Plug-In for business rules is
the first adaptation of the industry-standard IBM® Rational Unified Process™
to allow companies to extend their standard software design best practices with
business rules throughout the software development lifecycle and to implement
them effectively in Blaze Advisor, the leading business rules management solution
from Fair, Isaac. This combination of the Rational Unified Process and Blaze
Advisor business rules lets organizations take full advantage of KPI's standardized
business rules discovery and implementation methodology through a Business Rule
Modeling extension to IBM Rational Software's development disciplines of
requirements, analysis and design, implementation, test and deployment. Enterprises,
software vendors, and system integrators can benefit from following an industry-standard
approach to application development that gives them easier and more comprehensive
management of rules-based processes and components.
The RUP Plug-In for business rules comprises new and extended management
tools and templates for the RUP as well as extensive HTML-based documentation
covering methodology and procedures. Jointly developed by KPI and Fair, Isaac,
these extensions address how to implement a business rule-driven system within
the RUP phases of inception, elaboration, construction, and transition.
