About this tutorial
This tutorial teaches you how to edit and verify the code locally, and pushing it back to the i5/OS host. Learn to use Edit, Verify ILE RPG Application in a disconnected (offline) mode.
Objectives
You will learn how to do the following tasks:
- Start the product and connect to an i5/OS
- Work with source in a disconnected mode
- Create and build an i5/OS project
- Submit a build
Prerequisites
You should be familiar with one of the IBM Rational Software Delivery Platform products that RDi supports and have knowledge of System i applications.
System requirements
- Operating Systems: Windows 2000 SP4, Windows 2003 Enterprise SP1, Windows 2003 Standard SP1, Windows XP Professional SP2, Windows Vista Business, Windows Vista Enterprise, Windows Vista Ultimate
- Hardware: Intel® Pentium® III 800 MHz processor minimum (higher is recommended) 512 MB RAM; 1 GB RAM recommended. Minimum: 800 MB of disk space is required for product package installation. Additional disk space is required for the resources that you develop.
