RUP Plug-in for WebSphere Business Modeler V1.0 (beta)
The RUP Plug-in for WebSphere Business Modeler updates the Business Modeling discipline in RUP to leverage WebSphere Business Integration solutions and provide a unified approach for business modeling based on the essential capabilities of the IBM Rational Software Development Platform. This plug-in is currently in transition, building on the previous WebSphere Business Integration Modeler 5.1 version to include support for WebSphere Business Modeler 6.0.

Installation instructions
To download the plug-in and import it into a Rational Method Composer library, follow these instructions:
- Download the file and extract the contents of the zip file to a convenient location.
- Start Rational Method Composer and open a Library based on
library.7.2 that was shipped with RMC 7.2.
- Select File > Import to launch the Import Wizard.
- On the Select page in the Wizard, select Method Plug-ins and click Next.
- Browse to the location where you extracted the plug-in and select the directory with the plug-in zip file name, click OK and then Next.
- Choose the Import option: Ignore and remove unresolved references and click Next.
- Check the box next to the plug-in name and click Finish.
- If you receive any warning messages about overwriting a current plug-in, accept the warning, click OK.
- If you do not have a backup copy of your current library, it is advisable to make a backup copy before importing the plug-in. Click Yes when asked to make a backup copy of your library.
- The plug-in will be imported into your library and you will see it in the Library View.
Publishing instructions
- Select Configuration > Publish.
- Choose
HTML format and click Next.
- Choose the WBM configuration and click Next.
- Choose Publish the entire configuration and click Next.
- Enter WBM in the Title field.
- Set the Feedback URL field to 'mailto:rupfeed@us.ibm.com?subject=WBM' or to your local contact point.
- Locate the RUP Banner in your library here:
core.base_rup\guidances\supportingmaterials\resources\rup_banner.jpg
- Review and adjust as desired selections for the rest of the Publishing Options and click Next. Suggested items are as follows:
- Publish glossary and index
- Publish activity detail diagrams that have not been manually created
- Publish activity diagrams for unmodified activity extensions
- Show task descriptors in navigation trees
- Include method content in descriptor pages
- Include links to related descriptors in role, task and work product pages
- Default tab for the activity pages: Work Breakdown Structure
- Select a destination directory and website format and click Finish.
