Upgrading a Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest community to version 7.0.0
This paper provides a high-level description of issues to consider when upgrading a Rational® ClearCase® and ClearQuest® environment to version 7.0. Read this paper if:
- You need to upgrade an environment where these products are dependent on one another; for example, an environment where the base or UCM Rational ClearCase integration with Rational ClearQuest is in use.
- You cannot upgrade all hosts that run these products at the same time; that is, you require Rational ClearCase 7.0, Rational ClearQuest 7.0, or both to interoperate with earlier versions while the upgrade is performed over an extended period of time.
You do not need to read this paper if you are upgrading a single Rational product to version 7.0. In this case, read the installation and upgrade guide for your Rational product.
