[cciug] Are patches independent ?

Hi all,

I installed CC Patch 4.1-14 for RedHat Linux. And that was OK, it keeps the
Linux developers happy.

But, the HP developers, had a big release to finish, so I am very carefull
not to do any changes to the system, until the work is finished. So I did
not installed CC 4.1-14 on any client HP-10 or HP-11.

My question is: "Are the pathches independent ? The system continues to be
consistent ?".
I don't know.
