I do agree with you Daniel.because we don't expect the
MKS tool at client place.If there is no MKS then we
can not install the kit.So it is always better if we
use perl.

we dont find any problem with MKS tool kit as long as
if we test the script in both environments at
development time.One of the basic problem is that if
we hard code any thing like "/" (directory separator)
 in unix and when u goes to NT it will become opposite
between directories.

and naming conventions of files and directories we
should be careful.according to my knowledge due to
lack of improper testing the script there may be
problem.
