I get around the CCDoctor problems with this reg file entries that I run
before I install ClearCase.

We use DHCP, so the CCDoctor dialog always shows up. =)

One potential problem is with the Dialog that has the CCDoctor output
embedded in it. If the machine you record the response file on displays the
dialog, InstallShield will expect the dialog to appear in all dialogs.
Machines that do not display this dialog will fail under silent install.
The reverse is also true. The error code will be -12 in the setup.log file
(dialog out of order).

Matt.

InstallShield programs give you an options to create an answer file which
will be used in the silent install. To create this file you run your
setup.exe with the -r (record) option. This creates a setup.iss file in
your windir directory. This is usually the c:\winnt on a NT system. Next
you copy the file to the same directory as the setup.exe file and run the
setup program with the -s option (silent). The setup.exe program will read
the setup.iss program. It is possible to create multiple setup.iss file and
specify which one to use by placing -f1 option.

Hello!

How to perform unattended NT installation? Installing form release area
still requires confirming directory and use of default options...

TIA

Regards,
Lukasz
