I think in the Notification: Recipents address neednot be clearcase_albd
account, it can be any mailaddress , i did not test it for import , I tested
during the export phase . I gave my email address nchavvakula@armillaire.com
for email address, it send me a mail.

If I configure the synchronization to notify me, I get errors in the
albd logging from the notification and no sync-packets are imported.
When I dismiss notification import works fine.
What are the prerequisites of email notification ?
We have a Windows2000 / NT4 topogy, with Windows2000 servers.
the clearcase_albd account is in the primary domain that is a
Windows2000 Domain (acitve directory).
the CC doctor tells me for this account, that there is no HOME directory!
Cause: Rational limited an internal variable to string length of 50, but the
the home
directory-path is longer than 50 characters!
Could this be a cause ??
Also this account has no email-adress!!
The SMTP server is correctly given. I tested it by another email client
software.
This works fine when I put in the sender-email-adress, whe I leave the
sender adress, this
email-client also does not send email !!
