Hum.. If my memory is correct, you can mount a public VOB from a different
region to another.
In other words, you can mount the contractor_VOB from contractor_region to
full_time_region.
Then, contractor's work can be seen in full-time region, but contractors
cannot see the other VOBs.

Did I missunderstand anything? Please correct me if i am wrong.. I did
something similar year ago and i really hope my memory is correct :)

Hope it helps.

Michael

Subject: [cciug] access to some vobs versus others

Hi,
Does anyone know how i can turn off read/write access to specific vobs
for a given group of developers. We will be hiring some contractor
programmers that we do not want to give them even read access to certain
vobs. I'd perfer not to mess with the permissions on our current set
of vobs.

I guess i can create a new region but i would still like to have all our
full time employees see the work that the contractors are doing but not
vice versa.

We are running in ClearCase version 4.2 in an all Windows 2000
environment.
