[cciug] Simple perl script question

Hi all,

Sorry for this simple question but after 2 hours it makes me crazy.
I would like to add value to attribute named FT from a perl script with this
command :

        system("cleartool mkattr -replace FT $ft_value $selected_file");

The srcipt returns the error <$ft_value> is not a string... why ?
I've tried with \"$ft_value\", '\"$ft_value\"' without success.

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance.

Guillaume DAUDIN.
