Hi CCIUG,
I have a preop trigger on checkout (element -all), that prevents checkouts
without a minumim of comments. I have tried with individual files and it
works fine.
However, when I use Add to Source Control from the CC Menu, this trigger
won't let me add new elements. I modified the perl script and add a write to
a file sentence to see the value of ($ENV{'CLEARCASE_COMMENT'} and it's
blank, even though I entered more than the minimum number of characters via
the GUI window. The message I get is that CC is unable to checkout the
parent directory because of the trigger.
Somehow the comment string is not being passed to the checkout of the parent
directory that I presume Add to Source Control executes.
When I do it from the clearpromt I have no problems, since explicity force
me to co the parent directory first.
Any suggestion will be welcomed.
Thanks in advance.
