*Sigh*.
Does anyone have a kernel-source 2.4.2 RPM they can send me or point me
to, that can actually be unpacked?
The only ones I can find are the kernel-source-2.4.2-2.i386.rpm files
(see, for example, rpmfind.net), and these are broken: when I try to
unpack them there're large numbers of files missing and I get lots of
errors (like, the /usr/src/linux-2.4.2/include directory doesn't exist!!)
So, I saw something here earlier about how some of the source RPMs was
broken and you should get the updated version; I went to the Red Hat
7.1 updates site but there is no 2.4.2 RPM there at all, only 2.4.3-12.
Well, I tried that one but it doesn't work:
# uname -r
2.4.3-12
# insmod /lib/modules/fs/mvfs.o
/lib/modules/fs/mvfs.o: init_module: Invalid argument
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
# tail -3 /var/log/messages
Jul 6 19:58:49 lemming kernel: Structure_check error for struct file_operations. MVFS expected 68, got 72
Jul 6 19:58:49 lemming kernel: Structure_check error for struct super_block. MVFS expected 500, got 524

Soooooo... help!
