Ever since snapshot views are available, this whole platform thingy should
be a non-problem. Take any development platform and _don't_ put ClearCase
on it. Instead, export a share and mount it on some ClearCase server and
generate a snapshot view with the snapshot residing on the mounted share.
Of course, if your developers get a heart attack even thinking about
logging onto a remote server and using <gasp> a command line interface,
you may still consider implementing some sort of VB wrappers to do this
for them...
