u10 + Sol 8 is ok, but you machine should have a little bit more
mem .... I think it's the memory that makes it so slow
we run with 512 mb ram , work fine

I am trying to do it and it takes hours verses minutes on other machines. I
don't know if it is ClearCase problem, the machine problems, or the fact
that Solaris 8 is installed on such and "old" machine.
