We're running a mixed shop here; a Sun E250 running Solaris 2.6 as our
current primary VOB server, with a Penguin Computing Relion 120 running
Linux (hopefully Red Hat 7.1, but I haven't had a chance to test it
just yet). We've also got a Red Hat 7.0 system on "custom" hardware
serving as a view server and distribution/automated build system.

Penguin Computing is at http://www.penguincomputing.com/, in case you're
interested. We've got about 25 of their systems here, and I've been
extremely happy with the quality of their product, turnaround, and
especially pricing. We're using them for a variety of operating systems
(they only officially support Linux) without any problems; it's pretty
standard hardware, no big surprises.

Another vendor to look at would be Dell (their Linux-preloaded PowerEdge
systems are fairly nice, we've got a few in production here), but you'll
pay a pretty good premium for the hardware.
