RE: [cciug] Correct Version of Gnu Make for Compatibility with Clearmake (Cle arCase V4.0)

Gmake is basically a leftover from the pre-v3.2 clearmake implementation
of GNU compatibility. I wouldn't depend upon its continuing presense.

(Before v3.2, clearmake used Gmake as a preprocessor. Since then, GNU
compat is native in clearmake. Since v3.2 is when GNU compat was first
supported on NT, and it was native support, Gmake was never shipped on NT.)

v4.0 and v4.1 clearmake are more or less compatible with v3.74 of GNU make.
See section 6.5 ("Free Software Foundation Gnu Make") of the "Building
Software with ClearCase" manual for a list of unsupported GNU features.

Because I know it will be asked: We do add newer GNU features to clearmake
over time. We do listen to this forum, and to support requests for newer
features. But we will never be (because we don't strive to be) 100%
compatible with the latest GNU make release.
