Subject: [cciug] ClearQuest Question
Hi All
wanted some clarifications for all those out there using CQ ...
I am trying to implement the same using Oracle 8 DB..
1. When we talk of floating licenses , and CQ being an NT product does it
mean that the "CQ flexlm license server" has to be one of the hosts sitting
on my NT domain.. ?
NO need to be on same NT domain.
2. Any specific points to remember while using oracle 8 DB ( sitting on a
Unix box ) and accessing thru NT cleints via SQL easy etc stuff... ( apart
from the ones mentioned in the installation guide )
Must upgrade ClearQuest 2000 with patch 1, and patch 1.1
If you use Oracle 8i, here is what you need to create new schema repository.
HOST=<Oracle Server>;SID=<Oracle instant>; SERVER_VER=8.1;
CLIENT_VER=8.1; LOB_TYPE=LONG
You probably know, you need at least 2 Oracle users, one for creating schema
repository and others for user databases.
3. Any advices / references highly appreciated..
Regards
Vishwas
Have fun.
Regards,
Vu
