Make sure you have removed all UCM views attached to the project first (ct
endview -server viewname, rmview...). Then umount the components/vobs and
pvob. Remove the components/vobs and lastly the pvob. Using the
clearvobadmin tools helps alot.
Also you will see a real advantage in using a solid naming convention
between your pvob and components. You don't want to remove a component
attached to another pvob! I blow away my sandbox projects all the time.
They are clearly named, projectname_sandbox_pvob, projectname_sandbox_data1,
and so on.
You always have the option of just unregistering the clearcase objects for a
few weeks and then delete the specific storage sub-directories after you
know that there are no "broken connections". When in doubt, this is best.

Subject: [cciug] UCM: Removing a complete clearcase project
Hi
I have been doing some trial runs of clearcase on a solaris system. Created
a UCM project with components, vobs, activities, baselines, views and vobs,
performed some deliver and rebase operations as well. I want to remove the
complete project. Is there a defined way of removing a complete clearcase
project. I am in a fix here. some of the objects in cleacase are
interrelated - components and vobs. Is there a defined way of removing these
objects ?
Any help in this regard is higly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Bharath Aleti
