Great idea. I should have thought of that. This I can do for such a
temporary fix.

Thanks.

Melody, this was a defect(configspeceditor.ocx I think) that exhibited
itself under 3.2.1(Beta Testing of W2k) and was subsequently fixed in
ClearCase 4.0, the only workaround(other than upgrading to CC 4.0) is to
edit the config spec/load rules via a CLI "cleartool edcs"

Hope this helps....

Fred

I have a small group of dev's that migrated to Win2k before we could update
all teams on their projects Unix VOB to 4.x. This is a Windows/Unix setup.

I need a temporary fix for a couple of machines.

>From the archives, I have found the setup.exe -noostest command options that
allowed v3.2.1 to be installed (fully patched) to the Win2k platform. I
know that mvfs will be supported, and have checked ccfs as a Unix access
protocol.

When you create a view, there is no option for dynamic view so creating a
snapshot view is clear enough. Creds shows the correct primary group.

After I do these thing, I get errors when I click on view properties (such
as "cleardescribe.e.exe has generated errors). I don't know where the extra
".e" comes from. I am never able to edit the load rules.

Does anyone have this working? If so, what am I missing.
