did you run a checkvob & dbcheck?
you can also get some really strange behavior
if some changed your NTFS permissions. In which
case you need to run fix_protect. (Some backup
utilities can cause this problem.)
I strongly recommend that you work with Rational support
to try any of these commands, as some are in the
"undocumented" and "unsupported" category.
