Hi Deepak,

I have done this in my previous company. Unfortunately, now, I no longer
use ClearQuest. All that I did was , using the ClearQuest / ClearCase
integration script provided by Rational and querying the Oracle Database.

But, you need to have CQWEB configured.

Best of luck. Oraperl will not work . Use the socket program provided
by Rational.

Thanks,

Om Naidu

Subject: [cciug] Accessing Oracle database from clearcase server

Hi,
I am trying to write a script to create views for the developers.
Developers
will run a custom perl (or Oraperl) script, giving defect number as a
parameter. This script will then query the oracle database for clearquest
and
make sure that a bug with that ID exists. Basically, I need to query
oracle
database which resides on another machine. Has anybody done this before,
can
you show me a sample of that script(s)? Do you use perl or ORAperl?
TIA.
Regards,
Deepak.
