| Can you email me what is new in Clearcase v4.1 ?

The main thing new in 4.1 is a new ClearCase Explorer for windoze.
If you also want to know what's new in 4.0, that is too much to
ask someone to type into an e-mail.

|
| I ask, because while browsing the Rational website
| http://www.rational.com/products/clearcase/index.jsp
|
| I see a big announcement that, "Rational ClearCase 4.1 Launches at Rational User
Conference !! Learn what's new."
|
| I click on this URL and get:
|
| This is apparently a MS-Word document, which I cannot read :<
|
| Were Unix developers invited to the "Rational User Conference" ?
|
| Is Rational owned by Microsoft, now ?

Owned by MS? maybe. In bed with MS? certainly. ClearCase has become
very NT-centric, in my opinion. I think the only reason they continue
to support UNIX is that UNIX VOB-servers are still the way to go even
in a windoze shop.

Maybe Rational could be persuaded to provide that document in PDF format
at least.

But seriously, the best thing for you to do is go ahead and order the 4.0 and
4.1 upgrades from the Rational site. Even if you don't want to upgrade,
at least you will have the Release Notes. Rational does seem to ship
the upgrades by return mail. It's pretty quick. And free.
