[cciug] Can't see vobs after moving to new domain

Any NT/CC (and MS?) gurus,

CC and Multisite3.2.1 on NT

I am in the process of moving a group of replicated vobs to a new NT domain. All
vobs are replicated (-npreserve) from Domain A to Domain B. I am now
incorporating Domain B into Domain A, and changing the vobs accordingly
(following instructions from Rational).

ccdoctor show no problems with the setup, so I'm pretty sure the accounts are
OK. I did the following:

1. fix_prot -root -chown hyperion\ccadmin -chgrp hyperion\clearusers
d:\clearcase\cc_vobs\vob.vbs
(worked OK)

2. fix_prot -r -chown hyperion\ccadmin -chgrp hyperion\clearusers -chmod 775
d:\clearcase\cc_vobs\vob.vbs
(recursed through all files and appeared to succeed)

3. cleartool protectvob -chown hyperion\ccadmin -chgrp hyperion\clearusers
d:\clearcase\cc_vobs\vob.vbs
(this FAILED, saying 'Unable to set vob registry tag info for replica uuid
dd....")

I ran ct lsvob: it listed no vobs (there are about 7 vob replicas). The
vob_object and vob_tag files look OK when I look at them. Running ct register or
ct register -replace doesn't seem to solve it.

I cannot figure out what I did wrong here - any ideas?

Thanks for your help,
John
