SOFTWARE ENGINEER, SENIOR/STAFF (Configuration Management)
Siemens Medical Systems, Inc, Ultrasound Group, is currently seeking a
Software Engineer, Senior/Staff, level 55/57, exempt, reporting to Steven
Riddle, Software Group Manager. Responsibilities will include the
establishing, documenting, implementing, and training of software
configuration management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and maintain a software engineering environment for new
product development.
* Establish and maintain a system for software configuration
management.
* Define, document, and implement the process for migrating and
installing controlled software baselines through various computing
environments.
* Develop tools to aid software engineers in developing, testing and
maintaining code.
* Develop and present training packages describing the software
engineering environment.
* Evaluate and generate purchase requirements for 3rd party tools.
* Validate tools used for product development.
* Establish new workstations for product development.
* Management of CASE tool.
QUALIFICATIONS
* BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
degree.
* Understanding of the principles of Configuration Management and have
a minimum of 5 years of project Configuration Management experience.
* Experience using Rational's ClearCase/ClearCase for Windows NT
required.
* Experience with projects involving shared development at multiple
sites preferred.
* Experience in regulatory compliance for software development
preferred.
* Ability to develop and implement software engineering tools.
* Excellent grasp of Windows/NT and Unix operating systems.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience in developing technical Configuration Management
procedures is desired.
* Ability to work in a rapidly evolving environment.
