You have to do both.
You have to run the msdostext_mode utility against each VOB
where you want the automatic generation (on read) and stripping
(on checkin) of the DOS line-feed characters to be enabled.
Whether this handling of DOS line-feed characters actually
happens for you depends on whether you're using a view that
is -tmode msdos. It happens if -tmode is msdos and does
not happen if -tmode is unix (the default).
You specify -tmode msdos either in the mkview command, or
by checking off the dialog box says interop in ClearCase
Home Base on Windows.
