Hi all....
What's the general opinion on View servers on the NT platform...?
We are in the process of upgrading our server (yet again)....
I know having a view server would provide the added benefit of view
backups...but we aren't to bothered with that, as most of our developers have
become accustomed to regularly removing views and checking in.
The only reason I'm looking at view servers is for any performance increases.
Would having a view server with all views on (i.e. no clients with local views)
have any build performance increases? As they wouldn't have to go across the
network, when comparing DOs. Obviously CC would still go across the network
when talking to the separate VOB server(s).
Any input greatly appreciated.
Andy
