Hi,

I am in the process of migrating our own build scripts ( without
make ) to scripts based on clearmake.

I am ( or was ? ) impressed with ClearMake features such as
          distributed build
          winking
dependency of the targets on the environment itself ( for
          example build script )

However some of the problems ( and subsequent level of support
from ClearCase ) that I have encountered is ....... I do not know
if the problems are only related to the java ( javac compiler on
     HPUX ) or general problem.

Still I would highly recommend that you try to use clearmake.

Subject: [cciug] Make Tools

Hi,

We would like to automate our build process on our Unix machines
(i.e., Sun Solaris 5.7, IBM AIX 4.2 and SGI IRIX 6.2); and therefore,
will be looking at make tools.

What make tools would you best recommend to automate the build
process? Home-grown scripts, Imake, hand-built Makefiles, clearmake,
etc.?

Please advise. Thanks.

Eileen
