Have they "fixed" ClearQuest so that it works in a distributed
environment yet? What about the ability to submit new records via
a nice e-mail interface like DDTs? If they don't have those two
features, its pretty much worthless to us. (This is a hint to
Rational).

My information from various people at Rational (sales people and
field engineers) is that ClearDDTS will be phased out in the next
two years or so. (We're already having trouble getting support for
it.)

ClearQuest currently runs with either a proprietary database or with
Oracle. The ClearQuest application itself runs on NT, but an Oracle
database can live on either a Unix or NT system. ClearQuest also has
a web-based user interface. The ClearQuest application itself is due
to have some more presence on Unix this year.

Another interesting morsal is that UCM gains significant capability
by integration with ClearQuest, but no such integration is available
with ClearDDTS.
