[cciug] Rational Rose opinions/experience?

I am evaluating different modelling tools for a Nortel project
and wanted to gather any opinions from other Nortel people who
have used modelling tools also.

Specifically if you have any experiences/opinions on Rational Rose
98 or 2000; or ObjecTime or Artisan RealTime Studio, please send me an
email, call me or post your thoughts here.

One of the key features will be scalability and ability for use over
multiple sites (if we have 50 designers who want to make changes to
the model, can they lock different parts of the model to make changes,
or does the model need to be broken into different files/projects?).
We are not interested in the automatic reverse engineering (we will
manually generate the model) or code generation abilities at this
time as we will initially be using C and not C++.

Thank you,

Chris Gilby
