Hi Guna,
I asked the Rational's about the further development of ClearGuide and they
told me:
"ClearGuide is an end-of-life product, no further development of it
will take place and support is limited to helping existing customers
with their issues. In the future it will be replaced by the Unified
Change management (UCM) built into ClearCase 4.0, working with
ClearQuest."
We are working with ClearGuide 3.2.1 in one of our projects. People are
complaining about it because it's too complicated (too many attributes to
handle), performance is poor and the GUI is terrible.
We are just evaluating ClearCase 4.0 which has taken over some features
(projects, activities, streams) from ClearGuide. It seems much easier to
handle. We're still waiting for ClearQuest UNIX to see how it will work.
So - don't think about using ClearGuide - it's dead.
Bye
Bernd

Hi,
Rational had (?!) ClearGuide and i though it would be a great tool
after going through the
concepts, ofcourse couple of years ago. I don't see that in the products
list. Is anyone using that?
could you share your experience with us?
Is there a competitive tool for the "work flow managements" that you are
aware or used?
Cheers,
Guna
