Rerunning siteprep and re-installing CC on all clients sounds extremely
cumbersome!
Here is a better way: You can modify the logon password for the clearcase
service by opening the Services applet from the system control panel. Look
for the Atria location broker service, and click on "Startup kind" (?!;
"Startart" in the german version). This will bring up a form that has
entries for "Logon as", account name and password. Yo need to be admin, of
course.
I think the password is going to end up somewhere in the windows registry
(HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Albd\Security would be a guess, but
I'm not sure). Since the client registries can be maintained remotely, it
should not be to hard to write - for example - a perl script that updates
the relevant keys automatically.
Could someone in the know confirm the function of the above mentioned keys ?
