I need to CM (multiple versions of) the Sun Workshop compiler into CC.
Execution of compiler(s) "in place" is the goal.
I am trying to get these versions (2.1, 3.0, 5.0) of Sun Workshop into CC.
I've looked in the archives at the many messages about placing / running
compilers under CC control. I've seen that people keep information about
the environment, o.s., variables, etc. in files. People have also talked
about using chroot (would change the top compiler directory in CC to "/") to
be able to run the compiler "in place." I don't believe chroot will work
for the environment I'm in.
I am seeking / requesting help from someone who had an established plan that
works for them that could be used in my case. I read in one e-mail that the
person was going to send the user's group an exact "plan of attack." I would
be very appreciative of any help people could give.
