We are running Clearcase version 3.2.1 on HP-UX 10.20 & 11.0 and we are
going to be changing our IP numbers and hostnames in the near future
(we're changing from <server>.<division>.hp.com to
<server>.<division>.agilent.com as well as changing the physical IP
numbers).
We are going to do some testing prior to the big change-over by bringing
up a view and vob server in our new domain. My biggest concerns right
now are whether or not moving a vob server to a new domain will affect
views in the old domain and what types of problems we can
expect/anticipate in talking across domains. I expect that multisite
won't be a big problem as long as we can talk across domains (we should
only have to change the host names for the relevant replicas, right?)
Has anyone out there done this before? If so, can you give me a
heads-up or direct me to materials that describe what kinds of problems
I can expect?
