[cciug] "Protect Container" and getlog problem

Hi,

We have couple of interesting problem:

1. Clearcase log for our cc server (license, registry, vob) doesn't work.
Log works on every cc client but not in cc server. We have even reinstalled
CC once but it didn't help. Cleargetlog process doesn't start at all and
there will be timeout. This prevents quite nicely us to solve another
problem which is more serious:

2. We have suffered couple of months problem where some elements (randomly)
became unaccessible. You cannot read them or do a checkout them. You'll have
an error message "access denied"when you try. Event viewer log for CC server
tells about vobrpc_server error: "protect container failed" and vob_server
error: "unable to chmod container" and container id. When you reboot the cc
server problem disappears.
This happens randomly within week or two period.
We are tried to find the problem with Rational helpdesk for a long time
without any success. I have sent them countless of logs and we have tried
to monitor the net traffic but I guess helpdesk didn't found anything
special from there.

We use NT4 platform (SP4), multidomain system and CC version 3.2.1. And yes
- multidomain system in configured the way Rational recommends and it did
work properly over one year.

Anyone seen anything like ?
