I want to thank everyone for the excellent ideas.
I got it working using a mix of what Ted Jardine and Wolfgang gave me. I saw
some great ideas from others of you that I think I could have used, but
since I got it working...
Please don't take this the wrong way, I really do appreciate everyone's
input, but I noticed many of you replied directly to me instead of to the
cciug. I personally think that the purpose of this forum is to express
opinions and share ideas. I know that in the past I have been in similar
situations as someone else, or just curious about someone else's
problem/resolution, and didn't see either any replies or very few to an
issue. In one particular instance I e-mailed the originator of an issue to
ask him if he ever got a solution to his problem. It may be that some of you
are too shy to post directly to a group of thousands, or that you are not
confident about your ideas. Don't let that bother you. I have been a
ClearCase Administrator for about five years now. I learn new things every
couple of weeks or so. Even more when I watch the user group more closely.
My New Years resolution this year is to learn more about Perl (my biggest
weakness) and how to use it better in this environment.
Thanks for letting me stand on my soap box for a minute.
