| I'm just trying to make sure I'm clear on the number of MultiSite licenses I
| would need since I'm still a little fuzzy about VOB replicas.
|
| In the MultiSite manual on page 26 it says "A MultiSite license is required
| for any access to an object in a replicated VOB -- by a MultiSite command, a
| ClearCase command, or a standard operating system command."
|
| We current have one VOB server that everyone at our site accesses with
| ClearCase licenses. If we're setting up MultiSite to access all of the VOBs
| at both locations the VOBs at the remote location are replicas and the VOBs
| at our location also become replicas so we need to change all of our
| ClearCase licenses to MultiSite licenses.
|
| Am I correct with this interpretation of the manual?
No. It's worse. You have to keep all your ClearCase licenses,
and buy an equal number of Multisite licenses in addition.
|
| Thanks!
| Stephanie
