Somebody is injecting this list into a local news server which is then
pushing it out to the world. I'll have a look at the messages and see if I
can find out who is doing this.

"criminal" is a pretty strong term. I doubt that this is correct. Perhaps
it's a contractual issue, but I doubt it.
Personally, I've found that being able to search deja helps me do my job
better.
I once had to search for my own response after I had changed jobs, deja was
the only place I could find the information. If you are concerned
why don't you just use a hotmail account instead of your personal or work
account. This would give you control over who knows your email address.
